Her virgin pedicure after 30 over years. ha. Lots of satisfaction after removing all her cuticles!
Using OPI - Siberian Nights. It looks like black colour in the picture but it's actually a very dark cream purple colour under daylight.





I like this black-greyish-shimmerish colour!! Using one layer of TiNS - the saturn and another layer of OPI - the private jet (this colour alone is a sheer shimmerish grey). Turns out really nice.

Oh her big toes are veryyyy curved in towards the flesh. I need to pinch down the flesh extra hard to paint it!! Just complaining a little.

Bat hair

During my second viewing of The Dark Knight (at the Imax this time, MAN that's a big screen) I became slowly but increasingly obsessed by one thing. It wasn't an obsession with the Joker's make up this time, though I daily have to stop myself buying face paint now, or with Jim Gordon (best Gordon ever) but with Bruce Wayne's hair.

It changes slightly in every scene, but keeps a similar style: slight side parting, swept but not really slicked back using what seems to be gel (hair gel! Does anyone use that any more in this age of hair wax?). It's quite 80s, functional but slightly feminine somehow... believable for a man who needs to be able to wear a armoured cowl at any moment, but who's also a businessman and playboy.

I know this post is all a bit 'fangirl' but just be glad that I'm not telling you how to apply the perfect Joker-style warpaint. I'll save that for another post...

Oh man, I'm jealous that you've seen it again, it is on my to do list. I like the simplicity of the hairstyle. I would assume that Mr Wayne would not use hair gel...hair gel died a death in 1998, when boys the world over took a hard look at themselves in the mirror and realised they looked quite ridiculous. My prediction is that Bruce would use a hair grooming creme, my favourite is by Bumble and Bumble. The style element which has left a lasting impression on me is The Joker's getup which has a remarkable attention to detail, summed up best by the colourful patchwork socks. However, the complete look of blue patterned shirt, blue pinstripe trousers, olive green waistcoat with faded gold and black tie stylishly screams crazed super villain. My particular favourite element of the look is the fitted purple trench-coat with contrasting red lining which is awesome.

Back from Hilton nails + alcohol party part 1

Went to stay at Hilton hotel on Friday with my cousins and nanny (actually my ex-colleagues). It's our get together session once in every 1 or 2 months. Always just pure nonsense, jumping around, shouting, yakking, laughing... but happy!!

Anyway I did pedicures for the 2 ladies. Brought all my stuffs for the pedicure and I actually called Housekeeping for a PAIL!! ha ha ha. A tub would be ideal cos they would need to soak their feet but then.... how to carry a tub to take MRT har? Ok, housekeeping called me back and asked why would I need a pail, I answered saying I need it to soak my feet. (they must be thinking that I'm so dumb. ha.)

I took pics of their feet even though it's just classic pedi. No nailart cos I forgot all bout my nail art pens!!

Multe fete/femei nu indraznesc sa poarte boyfriend jeans, jeansi largi, cu 3-4 masuri mai mari si, si mai putine arata bine in ei. Karl Lagerfeld a creat pentru colectia de primavara/vara Chanel astfel de jeansi, iar Victoria Beckham, Heidi Klum, Geri Halliwell sau Sarah Jessica Parker sunt celebritati care ii adora. Blugii foarte la moda in anii '90, cand muzica rap era in voga, vor sa fie must-have din nou. Totusi nu cred ca vor prinde atat de bine ca skinny jeans, de exemplu, si chiar sper sa fie asa pentru ca imi displac.

Cand o vezi pe Alyssa Milano cu greu poti crede ca are aproape 36 de ani pentru ca arata si se imbraca ca o adolescenta. Florile purtate in par sunt semnatura ei stilistica. Anul trecut si-a lansat propria linie vestimentara - Touch by Alyssa Milano, despre care am scris mai multe, ca guest blogger, pe DaDaMoDa.
Alte lucruri interesante despre Alyssa: are opt tatuaje, este fana a echipei de baseball Los Angeles Dodgers, are trei caini si opt cai, este dislexica, este ambasadoare UNICEF si sustinatoare PETA, este vegetariana, are 1,57 cm.

you'll be director, and i'll be your movie star

How many of you have been watching a movie and suddenly felt instantly drawn to a character and their style? Searched for pictures of them and drooled of admiration at their clothes? If you have a favourite movie character, and want others to know about it, then keep on reading!

I would like to celebrate some of the wardrobes of different movie characters, and to do that I need your help. To kick this off, I'll start with my absolute favourite movie style icon. I can tell you that it wasn't particularly easy to choose just one. My thoughts drifted to everyone from Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's to Edie in Factory Girl to Alice in Closer to the girls in Chicago, but in the end I found out who my ultimate favourite is: Nikki from Alfie (though the competition between her and Carrie Bradshaw was tough).




When I saw the movie Alfie for the first time, I fell absolutely in love with Nikki and her free spirited and wild 60s look. The lovely fur gilets, the great moccasin boots, the gorgeous hippie dresses and tops, the cute floppy hats and the cool slouchy boots made me wish I could jump into the tv-screen and become her. Even though she clearly is bipolar and has a very complex and difficult personality, I instantly wanted to become her because of her wild, rebellious and fun sides. Everything with her stylewise is just perfection in this movie.
