Granted, you'd definitely be flipping the script a little, but if you're looking for a super non-traditional vintage wedding dress, then seriously? Yes. This cream-colored, beaded drop-waist dress has more potential than Lindsay Lohan circa late 2004 -- like, right after she did Mean Girls but before she slid down the coke ladder and into the anorexic abyss.

I love how it's sorta '30s-meets-'80s but not overly either, which makes it still sort of modern without screaming "I THRIFTED THIS AND THEN WORE IT TO MY WEDDING!" Because there's a time and a place for yelling about thrifted stuff, but maybe your wedding isn't it.

Anyway, this could also be a lovely end-of-night dress, if you're so inclined. I'm not, but if you are, then go for it.

Stuart Weitzman Bulletin Heels: I Surrender!

While spending HOURS (sadly that's not even an exaggeration) looking for those elusive Stuart Weitzman Trianon heels, I came across these Stuart Weitzman Bulletin heels. Not for a wedding, obvs (at least, not for mine... though if you wore these for your wedding, you'd fully have my utmost respect), but for real-deal straight-up everyday bawsin'. It's kind of like a pair of purple suede heels came down with metallic robo-acne. And I'm fine with that. Plus, you could just stick a Post-It to the side of your shoe to remember stuff and if someone asked you WTF is up, just be like "So? Lady Gaga's doin' it, so I am too."

Beacon's Closet Scores: Leather Motorcycle Jacket & Redonk Heels

Dropped some stuff off at the Park Slope Beacon's Closet today and exchanged some old stuff for some new-old stuff, including... these ridiculous...LY AWESOME brown leather studded heels from Italian brand B&H or Bag-Het or something. They're studded but not in a super on-trend way, which I kinda like. They were $15.95 and in perfect condition.



And, for some bizarre reason, this PERFECTLY fantastic old-school black leather motorcycle jacket from Bona Drag (seriously!) was just sitting there! Waiting for me! For just $29!

Nail Color Gradiation

I first saw this technique done

on my Korean Friends nails.

Its becoming really popular everywhere.

It looks great on short or long nails.

This is my first try at it. 

What you need:

3 or 4 shades of the same color.

1 light/sheer. 1 medium. 1 dark. 1 sparkly one (optional) 

Im using pink 

But you can use yellow,green blue , even black

Whatever you want ! 

How to do it : 

1. Cover the nail in the light shade. Do a second coat.

2. Mix the light shade with your medium shade. 

Do this in a plastic plate or whatever you have. Use the medium shade

brush to mix and apply. Start in the middle of your nail and brush up.

You want to be able to see the light shade at the bottom 

3. Grab your medium shade and put some on the top part 

of your nail so that you can still see some of the light/medium mix.

Basically you are just painting lines of different shades on your nail 

to make that fading effect. 

4. Next Grab your dark shade. Paint the very top of your nail tip.

This is the smallest layer. 

5. You can now add a sparkly color on your nail or leave it plain.

6. Add 2 coats of top coat to make it nice and glossy 

Done ! 

[ note: this look requires patience. you might wanna purchase 

some fast drying top coat or some other type of

solution that makes nail polish dry faster if you dont

have a nail dryer ]

How to get Healthy Nails that grow

So you want to have stronger or longer nails ?

Well first - If you bite your nails...stop ! 

You will never see any growth if you dont.

Saliva makes the skin near your nail all raised and nasty looking.

I know its hard if its a habit. But get over it !  

Second - Eat well  Lots of veggies and fruit will help. 

Try a Hair Nails Skin vitamin as well.  

I drink 5 drops of Vitamin E Oil Daily

 Check any pharmacy.

Neon Love

I like this look  ! 

Her 5 fingers are all different neon colors.

All you need for this is a coulple coats of base coat to make it nice and shiny

since only part of your nail will have color.

Then just put a piece of tape covering 2/3 of your nail

so that a bare tip is showing.

Paint each tip a different neon color

or if you only have say 2 neon polishes - alternate them ! 

Summery and Cool !

Black & Yellow

What you need :

Black Nail Polish

Yellow Nail polish or some type of bright color.

Top & Base Coat

I alternated the black and the yellow.

My thumbs are different colors. 

So one hand has  3 yellow nails and the

other has 3 black nails

Not only are these Stuart Weitzman Trianon a fashion MIRACLE -- I mean LOOK at that Deco heel. Could you DIE and come back to LIFE? -- but they'd match my Jenny Packham wedding dress (bought it, btw, at Mark Ingram. Totally painless, and they were wonderful!) PERFECTLY. It's like Jenny Packham and Stuart Weitzman collaborated and MADE my dress to GO with these flipping GORGEOUS heels. Like to borrow a line from Beauty Blogging Junkie's Amber, I'm breathing into a bag over these. HOWEVER, I'm out for BLOOD because they're only available in a 9.5. I breathlessly emailed Zappos who were all like "oh, you're a total doll, lovey, but you're SHIT OUT OF FUCKING LUCK BECAUSE WE'RE NOT GETTING ANY MORE IN." (They didn't swear, but still.) SO NOW WHAT?

Look, I realize that if I DON'T get these, it's not the end of the world. Capelli ed hennè.... ecco la procedura per usarlo correttamente

Cosa c'è di più naturale dell'hennè???
Niente ammoniaca, niente prodotti chimici!

Non proprio indicato a tutte ad esempio se ci tingiamo i capelli per coprire quelli bianchi, o se abbiamo una base molto scura non è detto che il risultato si veda...ma non disperate potete comunque provare ad effettuare più applicazioni prima di rinunciare.

Ma iniziamo a vedere nel dettaglio il procedimento, anche se semplice ha un suo ordine preciso.

La prima cosa in assoluto è recarsi in erboristeria (mi raccomando un'erboristeria seria) ed acquistare l'hennè, ce ne sono di varie intensità, starà quindi all'erborista stesso consigliarvi quella giusta per il vostro tipo di capello, in base poi alla lunghezza della chioma vi indicherà anche la quantità necessaria.

Via con gli ingredienti:

1) hennè: circa un etto per capelli di lunghezza media.

2) tre bustine di the

3) un vasetto di yogurt bianco

4) un cucchiaio di limone o di aceto

5) una ciotola per amalgamare il tutto

6) un pennello per passare l'hennè sui capelli

Prendete un bicchiere d'acqua, fatela scaldare ed immergete le bustine di the, appena sarà freddo mettetelo nella ciotola ed unite l'hennè, girate il composto con un cucchiaio; unite il cucchiaio di limone o di aceto ed il vasetto di yogurt continuando ad amalgamare i vari ingredienti.

La densità deve essere media, considerate che deve essere messo sui capelli ma non deve colare.

In questa foto vedete il risultato finale pronto per essere applicato sul capello partendo sempre dalla radice.
Per stenderlo potete aiutarvi con un pennello, o se non lo avete in casa, con un cucchiaio.
Una volta completata l'operazione dovete mettere in testa della carta stagnola o meglio ancora della pellicola trasparente (va benissimo quella che usate in cucina) ed ancora indossare un cappellino in modo da tenere il composto caldo, è il calore stesso che sprigiona il pigmento del colore.

Inoltre questo impacco non deve seccarsi sui capelli.

Tempo di posa un'ora, un'ora e un quarto.

Sciacquate il tutto e fate uno shampoo.

I risultati ci sono da subito, capello effetto ramato e morbidissimo.

Faccio una precisazione, il colore che si ottiene con l'hennè è unicamente rosso, va bene quindi per tutte voi che amate questo tipo di riflesso sui capelli.
