Gradiation Nails

So, I love Gradition Nails.
They have been around for years.
I first saw them on my Korean friend nails around 2004ish.
They are so simple to do and you dont need
any fancy tools to create the look. Looks great on long
and short nails...and you can use whatever colors you want.
I did an Ocean Inspired Gradiation video on youtube a while ago
& the quality is horrible because I was using my built in laptop
webcam at the time. But, I did like the end results.

This time I chose to do sort of a snowy look with one
main color. You could use 3 different shades of the same
color or...you could have one main color and use white &
black to mix in ...creating your gradiation. There are so many
ways to create gradiation nails. You could even use a small
makeup sponge but I prefer just painting the tip and then
dragging the brush down to 1/2 the nail...it gives a similar
effect and its faster. Just make sure you dont have
an opaque polish. This works better with sort of slightly
sheer or sparkly polishes.
Also make sure there isnt too much polish on your
brush if you choose to do the dragging method.

Experiment ! Its so much fun !

Zebra Nails

Zebra nails are always fun.
I will share some tips of what
helps me to do them esp on my
non-dominant hand.

Use the brush to create thick lines by applying
pressure.

Interweave the lines from one side of the nail
and then do the other side.

Look at a photo on the internet of a zebra print and
copy the individual lines.

Just dont leave too much space empty - fill it up
& you will come out with something decent.

On your non-dominant hand it helps to move your fingers
as you drag the brush - so twist your nail toward or
away from the brush for a cleaner line.

Start with the Triangle either on the side, top or bottom
of your nail - this makes it a lot easier to fill up
the nail with other sorts of lines and makes it more realistic.

Practice drawing the lines on a piece of paper before
starting - you may see that painting on your nails
is even easier.

New Youtube Channel

I've decided to make a new youtube channel
to make videos specifically about
asian beauty products, random DIYS not
relating to nails, makeup tuts,
advice, other random asian stuff...ETC...
It will be fun : )

www.youtube.com/girlylifestyleTV

Subscribe so you can have something
to watch when youre bored : )

There will be a contest soon
with asian prizes

Here is my first video :

Let me know what you would like to see.
Im obsessed with all things asian & girly.
So make any sort of suggestion if you want.

My next video is going to be on 'How
to go to Japan & Korea'  for those who
have been wanting to go for a while.

I will be posting new nail stuff more regularly on
kawaii nails also by the way.

I have been doing my nails but - the videos
haven't been coming out good enough to upload.
Its like I have OCD or something...

But, I will try to go back to my once a

Nails of the Week: Gold Fade

I absolutely love this color by Etude House
Its in the color of BR003 in the Dear Darling
Collection. Its so cute and delicately glittery.
There are lots of other brands that look similar
though.

Using your gold shimmery polish
paint the tip of your nail.

Get a sponge and place a line of polish on it.
If you dont have a nail art sponge simply mix
your polish with a bit of basecoat and apply.
We are just trying to create a more sheer layer
of gold.

In stippling motions apply sponge up to
1/2 the nail.

Seche Vite brings out and captures the shine
of glitter polishes beautifully. I highly recommend
this as your top coat.

& we're done : )

Simple and Sparkly !

♡Simple & Cute Hime Gyaru Deco♡

Hope you like my princess nail clippers ♡

Many people have uploaded what they have
decorated but havent given instruction
on what kind of glue they use etc.
I hope my video can help you make kawaii
things !!

My Deco pieces are from:
http://fullmoon07xxx.ocnk.net/
So try ebay or a craft store.
It doesnt matter where you get your
stuff as long as its cute !
: ) Oh & Etsy.com always has pearls
hearts and rhinestones.

It took about 1 hr to set completely
as I used delayed epoxy glue.
If you havent done deco-ing before
which I hadnt, then its best to use
a delayed epoxy glue.
Once you get more confident go for the
fast drying.

This diagram shows the diff ways to
lay out your rhinestones/pearls. But,
I just made up my layout as I went along.
It is VERY relaxing and fun to decorate things.
Take a break from homework &
Give it a try !

Make your own nail stickers !

What you need:
Scissors
Plastic Bag
Nail Polish
Tweezers
The only nail polish I have found that do not work well
is those clear-ish glittery ones.
There isnt any nail paint in those usually so they dont work as well.
Experiment and have fun.
Im going to experiment with making lace for nails and
3D looking stickers as well.
Stay tuned.

Cutie Bow Nailsssss

I love pink, bows & glitter.
I created a simple nail design with all 3 !
I used a sharpie marker for the bow.
They make life easier for special designs
because they dont require drying time & are more
precise.

Gothic Lolita Nails

" Lolita Fashion (ロリータ・ファッション ) is a fashion subculture in Japan that
is primarily influenced byVictorian children's clothing as well as costumes
from the Rococo period. Lolita has made this into a unique fashion by adding
gothic and original design elements to the look. "

I made nails influenced by the clothing - not by what sort of nails
they normally have cuz I have no idea what they look like. lol.

P.S - I totally freaked myself out at the end of this video. Lol !
Im wearing the hat from my halloween costume - I was a gothic lolita last yr.
