Tutorial #027: Stitched Nails

This tutorial is really easy and quick but it gives you a beautiful result.

Just change the base color with your favorite polish and you will have a wonderful mani!

What you need: a thin brush, a dotting tool (for the bow).

Colors:

• Base Coat: KIKO White strong&shiny No.05
• White: KIKO No.203
• Black: DEBORAH Shine TECH No.30
• Silver: basic No. 449
• Top Coat: KIKO No. 03

How to:

1. Apply your base coat.
2. Apply a white polish. Apply a second coat if needed.
3. With a thin brush and a black polish draw some oblique short lines.
4. Add a small bow. With a dotting tool make two big black dots and wait a few minutes for them to dry. Before they are completely dry lightly drag them towards the center and then add a smaller dot with some silver polish.
5. On oll the other nails make the small line only on the contours.

Tutorial #025: Kumi Koda - Physical thing inspired

This tutorial is inspired by the nails Kumi is wearing in her music video "Physical thing".

What you need: a thin brush.

Colors:

• Base Coat: KIKO White strong&shiny No.05
• Nude: KIKO No.220
• Black: Deborah Shine Tech No.30
• White: KIKO No. 203
• Top Coat: KIKO Shiny Top Coat No.03

How to:

1. Apply your base coat.
2. Apply a nude polish.
3. Use a "V" sticker for french manicure or a piece of paper and some tape like I did and paint the tip with black polish. If you have a steady hand I suggest you to paint it freehand because it's really easy to smudge it if you use paper.
4. This is the result you will have.
5. Witha white polish and a thin brush draw some lines. On the index and ring finger paint it under the black, on the other nails paint in the middle of the black polish. Apply a second coat if needed.
6. If you want to add a little detail you can glue on your ring finger a glitter ribbon like this one.

Tutorial #013: Happy Birthday!!

Yesterday was my birthday so I came up with this birthday-inspired nails. There are presents on the nails and a cake on the thumb.
Actually I think that also five cakes would have been cute, maybe I will try that next time!

What you need: a thin brush, a needle.

Colors:

• Base Coat: Debby nail THERAPY smoothing base + minerals
• Nude: KIKO No: 220
• Pink: Broadway Extra Color No. 03
• Silver Glitter: RIVEEL No. 131
• White: KIKO No. 101
• Glitter: KIKO No. 163
• Top Coat: KIKO Extra strong & hard No.04

How to:

1. Apply your base coat.
2. Apply a coat of nude polish and then some silver glitter. Actually I don't think this is such a great combination of colors, probably it would have been better without the glitter so if you don't like leave just the nude polish.
3. I applied the nude polish on all the four fingers and the pink one on the thumb.
4. With the brush and the pink polish draw a cross on the nail and then make a ribbon. I choose to make the ribbon only on the ring finger but you could do that on all the nails.
5. This is the result.
6. On the thumb I applied some white polish for make the cake. Help yourself whit the brush for give the right shape.
7. Put some glitter on the white polish and, when dry, use a needle to make the cherry. Do a bigger red dot and then a smaller white one. When PERFECTLY dry apply your top coat.

Tutorial #010: Mint Ribbon

This nail art is really funny and cute.

What you need: a thin brush, some rhinestones.

Colors:

• Base Coat: Debby nail THERAPY smoothing base + minerals
• Light Green: KIKO No. 268
• Green: RIVEEL No. 121
• Fuxia: RIMMEL Lycra PRO No. 402 URBAN PURPLE
• Glitter Pink: KIKO No: 241
• Top Coat: Deborah 7 Days Long No.00

How to:

1. Apply your base coat.
2. Apply two coat of light green.
3. Draw the tip with a darker green.
4. With the thin brush draw a line with the fuxia polish.
5. On the ring finger and the thumb I added a small ribbon. It isn't an easy thing to do so if you are not skilled I suggest you to leave the nail like that. I hate when I mess up a nail and I have to start again.
6. Here my thumb. In the end I added also a glitter pink polish over the fuxia to give it a 3D feeling and in the end a little rhinestone.

Tutorial #005: Sparkling Coral

Wednesday morning I was in town with my mum and I found a little shop that sells nail polishes at very low prices. Obviously I didn't come home empty handed. I bought the coral nail polish and the holographic glitter used in this nail art and also a Maybelline nail polish called Simply Mauve that is almost transparent but has a beautiful mirror effect.

What you need: some holographic glitter, clear rhinestones and gold hearts.

Colors:

• Base Coat: Broadway Nail Care No. 04
• Coral: LAYLA No. 75
• Top Coat: Deborah 7 Days Long No.00

How to:

1. Apply your base coat.
2. Apply two coats of nail polish.
3. On the ring finger I applied also some rhinestones to create a ribbon. Put a clear rhinestone in the lower part of the nail and then the two hearts. Start apply the holographic glitter.
4. On the thumb I put the rhinestones in the middle of the nail and then the holographic glitter.

Here is the final result. I tought it would take a lot of time to put on the glitter one by one but it took actually about 20 minutes. I think it is worth while.
