Michelle Williams in Chanel

One can never really go wrong when wearing Chanel, and Chanel at the Oscars is just the epitome of glamorous. Michelle Williams wore this elegant Haute Couture Chanel gown, and was therefore the Chanel queen of the evening. It is a very beautiful dress (and much prettier seen on tv than on photos!), but I can't help but feel that I wish she had been a bit more bold with her choice of dress as she was nominated for "Actress in a leading role" for her part in Blue Valentine.



That said, I do like the Edie Sedgwick vibe that she oozes with the blonde pixie haircut and the dyed eyebrows. Maybe this is how Edie would look like if she attended the Oscars? The only difference might have been that Edie would have worn huge earrings and a lot of black eyeliner.

Eva and Zoe in Graphic Prints

Last night, the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards was held in California. Actresses Eva Mendes and Zoe Saldana are both known for their impeccable styles, and they did not disappoint this evening either. Both opted for dresses in graphic prints, worn with colourful heels and large statement rings. Eva Mendes chose a dress from Chanel's S/S 2011 collection and teamed it together with turquoise heels by Pierre Hardy and a Le Vian ring.

Zoe Saldana wore a dress by Dolce & Gabbana from their S/S 2011 collection. A pair of orange Brian Atwood pumps decorated her feet, and her accessories for the evening was a clutch by Bottega Veneta and Piaget jewelry.

San Valentino makeup tutorial: Sweet Valentine

Ed eccoci alla sera più romantica dell'anno, il nostro lui ci ha invitate a cena fuori, le nostre mani si sfiorano sul tavolo, un regalino spunta dalla tasca della giacca, sì sì, è un pacchetto di gioielleria...che bel San Valentino!

Per questa occasione ho pensato quindi di puntare tutto sugli occhi, visto che se si è a cena di rossetto ne rimarrebbe presto ben poco. Occhi di una leggera sfumatura ametista, capace di mettere in risalto tutti i colori di iride in maniera delicata ma sofisticata.
Essendo un look chic non poteva mancare una palette Chanel, questa è quella sui toni del viola, se avete una palette Chanel il consiglio che vi dò è di usare gli ombretti con i pennelli bagnati perchè non sono molto pigmentati!


Cosa ci occorre:

• Basi: Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Sephora Eye Pencil 504
• Ombretti: Chan Les 4 Ombres 08 Vanitès
• Matite: Essence Longlasting Eyepencil 10 Almost Famous e 08 Touch of Glam
• Eyeliner: Essence Eyeliner Pen Return to Paradise viola
• Mascara: Cover Girl Lash Blast Luxe

Pennelli:

• pennello da sfumatura
• pennello da ombretto
• pennello piatti piccolo
• pennello a penna

Procedimento:


Passo 1: dopo aver steso la base trasparente con le dita su tutta la palpebra, applico sulla palpebra mobile il matitone viola, lo sfumo ai bordi con le dita















Passo 2: applico con il pennello da ombretto bagnato con acqua di rose l'ombretto viola medio (freccia azzurra).

















Passo 3: con il pennello da sfumatura bagnato, sfumo nella piega l'ombretto melanzana (freccia arancione)
















Passo 4: sempre con lo stesso pennello, sfumo sull'arcata e nell'angolo interno dell'occhio il lilla chiaro (freccia verde)














Passo 5: con il pennello a penna bagnato e l'ombretto viola scuro (freccia rosa) , delineo l'angolo esterno dell'occhio (la classica V per slanciare la forma)














Passo 6: passo delicatamente il pennello da sfumatura per alleggerire il tratto e uniformare i colori















Passo 7: per la parte inferiore: all'interno dell'occhio applico la matita rosa fissata con il lilla chiaro, all'esterno la matita viola fissata con il color melanzana. Applico l'eyeliner viola















Passo 8: due passate di mascara e il look è finito!

I ordered Chanel Riva because the color looked pretty okay. There are so-so reviews so far, in terms of streakiness. This is my first time ordering from their website and I'd say, I had a good experience. I received complimentary free shipping as well as 2 free samples, which I got Chanel Allure Homme Eau De Toilette and Chanel Chance Eau De Parfum. I received my package in 2 days and that's freaking awesome! :D They packaged it well and Riva even came in a Chanel draw string pouch! :)

Chanel Riva is from the Côte d'Azur Collection. It's a light baby blue with a blue shimmer, which isn't noticeable on the nail but on the bottle. The swatch is 3 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula is opaque and it applies streaky. But the third coat evens it out. I still like it but it's not very unique. Maybe they could've added more shimmer.. or something.

Chanel + OPI

So these were another part of my birthday present, one from my bf and one from my friend. :)♥ Totally awesome because it now adds to my lonely Nouvelle Vague in my collection :P

These were wrapped with white wrapping paper and then individually had a Chanel bow tied around them, so adorable! I wish I got a picture of them wrapped before I tore it apart LOL!

Chanel Soho Collection Steel

black with silver shimmer. I like that the shimmer isn't too big and overpowering on this and it's simple. The mega brownie points came from the fact that it took me only ONE coat for this swatch! :) The application was good and although the formula was a little on the thick side, it helped making it a one coater. :) LOVEEE it?

Chanel Soho Collection Strong

black with purple shimmer. I like the shimmer but it doesn't show that much, it looks so nice on the bottle, rawr! But on the plus side, it's another one coater! :D I freaking LOOOOVE the flash picture of this♥!
