KOTD: Fiery Fabric

Hey everyone! Today I am bringing you a simple Konad from the s6 plate. I used Sally Hansen Earthen Opal as the base color and China Glaze Twenty-Four K as the stamping color. I love how the colors go together, but maybe this wasn't the best image to use, I accidently got one backwards if you look closely. Do you like these colors together? What do you think?

KOTD: Lace Flip Flops

Hey everyone! I have been practicing my konading and I am slowly getting back into it and getting better at it. I used China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy as the base color, Art Deco Black as the stamping color, and a lace stamp off of the m71 plate. I double stamped the image onto my nails because I thought that it looked cool, which it it does. I think that I will be using more of my lace patterns on my plates, they are so pretty. Do you like the design too?

KOTD: Pool Party Swirls

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing kind of a konad fail, but I loved the concept of it. For some reason I could not get the black to show up as opaque as I wanted it to. This design is really cute though, I will likely be using it again. I used China Glaze Pool Party, Art Deco Black, and the S6 plate. Do you guys like the design? I might try something like this again if you do.

KOTD: Lilypads for Leapfrogs

Hi everyone! I have only recently even begun wearing nail polish again much less using a konad, so I apoplogize that the images aren't perfect and that my cuticles are a hot mess. I used China Glaze Kiwi Cool-ada as the base color, Art Deco Black as the stamping color, and I used an image off of the m66 plate. I really love pairing bright neon colors with black, I think that is looks cute! What do you think?

KOTD: Teal Flowers

Hello everyone! I am starting to get into more of a spring mood now that the sun is starting to shine again, so I wanted to do something cute. Sorry about the pointer finger, it smeared in the top coat stage. I used CHI Hot Ring Illusion Around Saturn and I stamped with China Glaze For Audrey using the m20 plate. Isn't it pretty, I thought that it turned out really well! Do you like it? Are you ready for warmer weather too?

KOTD: Ginger Flowers

Hi everyone! Today I am bringing you a simple Konad, but I love how it turned out, and I have decided that ginger and gold are bffs. This is one of my favorite Konad designs, I love the circles mixed in with the leaves of the flowers! I used OPI Ginger Bells, China Glaze Twenty-Four K, and the konad m20 plate to create this mani, how do you like it?

KOTD: Gold Tone-on-Tone

Hello everyone, how about another beautiful tone-on-tone Konadicure? I have never used the leopard lace pattern, so this was a fun way to use it! I used Tip Toe Gold Rush as the base color, and China Glaze Twenty-Four K as the stamping color, and this pattern is on the m57 plate. I love how this looks, so cute! Do you use any of the Konad lacy patterns on your nails?

KOTD: Light Blue Tone-on-Tone

Hi everyone! How about another tone-on-tone manicure? I am really loving this one, it reminds me of summer and fun and vacations and awesomeness. I used China Glaze For Audrey, China Glaze Metallic Muse, and the m57 plate. I like to imagine that the flowers are just falling down my nails. Do you like this mani too?

I apologize in advance that I won't be able to check comments all day today. As you read this I am at a conference presenting my research project (my first of 3 conferences this spring, and they are all within a month). I am really nervous because I have yet to present my research to anyone outside of my research lab (who I present my progress to every week), but I think that I will do well. I like to think that I am a pretty good presenter! We'll see how it goes, wish me luck! In case you are curious, I am wearing OPI Kreme de la Kremlin on my tips and OPI Dulce de Leche on my toes for the presentation. My nails look SO boring lol!

KOTD: Purple Tone-On-Tone

Hello everyone! Today I am bringing you another tone-on-tone manicure, and I am loving how it turned out! I have never used this particular flower pattern before so it was really fun to try! My boyfriend is loving the tone-on-tone manicures, I don't know why but he does! He is so sweet. Anyways, I used the m20 plate, Parlez-vous OPI?, and China Glaze Devotion. Do love how this turned out too?

KOTD: Jade Tiger

Hi everyone! So I have been obsessed with Konading a little bit lately and this is my latest combination, and I am loving the contrast in color and finish. I used the m57 plate with OPI Jade is the New Black and China Glaze Devotion as the stamping color. I really should think about getting some more Konad plates, which ones do you guys recommend?

KOTD: Ginger Tone-On-Tone

Hi everyone! I have recently fallen in love with the idea of tone-on-tone manicures, because they look so cool! So be prepared to see more of these in the future lol. Today I will start off with one that originally went well, but I got lumps and bedsheet marks thus the not-so-perfect finish. It turned out very cool though, it seems very 70's to me! I used OPI Ginger Bells, Sinful Colors Bronze, and the m60 plate. Have any of you ever tried tone-on-tone manicures before? I like them because they are subtle flashes of the pattern in the light.

In light of this semi-fail, I will be posting a swatch of one of the polishes I hauled, so stay tuned for that! :D

KOTD: Silver and Dots

Hi everyone! Today I am bringing you a KOTD; I feel like I haven't done one in a long time! And frankly it shows, the dots aren't all lined up striaght and some of the dots peeled off a bit. It was my first time using this particular design, but I struggled with it. I feel like with a little practice it would look a lot better. I used OPI Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees Suede as the base color and China Glaze Devotion as the stamping color. I wanted it to be matte at first, but then I wanted to see what it looked like glossy. Which version do you prefer?

KOTD: Naughty Barbie

Hello everyone! Today is the second and last post in my Barbie series, and I am showing you Naughty Barbie. I used Essie Forget Me Nots, Art Deco Black, and the Konad m57 plate.

When I think of naughty Barbie, I think of the doll that you dress up in fishnets, a black leather miniskirt, and a skimpy tubetop to go to the club in. She drives a sleek car and isn't afraid to drink a little a dance into the early hours of the morning. Then maybe she will go home with a guy who is not Ken (gasp!), who knows? How do you interpret naughty Barbie?

KOTD: Nice Barbie

Hi everyone! Today I am bringing you a very mini-series (there will only be one other post in this mini-series lol) on Barbie! I decided to put my Barbie pinks and Konad kit to good use, and today you get "Nice Barbie"! Oh, and I apologize for the indoor picture!

When I think of Nice Barbie, I think of the super preppy Barbie. Like the Barbie who rides around in the Mercedes around LA who goes to prepartory school, plays tennis and has a big screen TV. That Barbie! I thought that I light Barbie pink and some argyle was in order. I used Essie Castaway as the base color, OPI Alpine Snow as the stamping color, and the m60 plate for the pattern. What is your interpretation of "nice Barbie"?

KOTD: Velvet Butterflies

Hi everyone! Today I am bringing you a nice KOTD, this is OPI Glove You So Much! with China Glaze Twenty-Four K and the m20 plate. I used the butterfly image in the middle of the plate and stamped some flowers for her to land on. I think that it turned out really cute; do you like it too?

KOTD: Winter Wonderland

Hi everyone! I did this mani awhile back; you may remember that I entered it into a nail art contest. I love how it turned out though! I must say that I am REALLY sick of snow though. Spring, are you here yet?

I used OPI Russian Navy, OPI Alpine Snow, China Glaze Fairy Dust, and the konad m20 plate. I also matted it using Essie Matte About You Topcoat. I need to do slanted french tips more often, I like how it looks! What is the weather like where you live?

Holiday Nails: Ornament

Hi everyone! Today through Christmas Eve (December 24th) I will be doing a holiday mani everyday! And then on Christmas Day I will be posting the amazing present that I recieved from the Nail Polish Bloggers X-mas Exchange. Today's mani is supposed to be an ornament. It looks like one that my family used to hang on the tree. It was a red satin ball with a gold mesh over it, so this one is nostalgic for me!

I used China Glaze Ruby Pumps, the konad m57 fishnet pattern, and China Glaze Twenty-Four K as the stamping color.

You may notice that my nails are nubbins now. I had several nail breaks within a day, and frankly I was tired of all of my nails being uneven because I didn't want to cut off the ones that were just the way I wanted my nails. But my nails were in such rough shape that I figured it was time. A lot of my swatches and such will be posted with pictures from having my long nails, but for now I am stuck with nubbins until they grow back out.

KOTD: Gold on Gold

Hi everyone! I have been wanting to try a tone-on-tone mani for awhile now, and I have finally done one! I know that it is hard to see; I'm sorry! I had to take it inside as the weather has been very dim and dreary.

I used Wet n' Wild Shield as the base color and China Glaze Twenty-Four K as the stamping color using the m60 plate. It looked really cool in real life but I couldn't get a decent picture.

In more exciting news, I am going home today! Hooray! I can't wait to fly back for a nice long three week break! :)

KOTD: Oranges

Hey everyone! I have been a suffering from the winter blues a little bit, so I decided to do a really fun mani inspired by oranges!

I didn't really know how to make it look "pitted" like oranges do without denting the polish, so I konaded a gold onto the orange so that it would be more subtle. I think that it turned out super cute!

I used m57's leopard print to make the oranges look pitted. The orange I used was OPI Brights Power and the gold is China Glaze Twenty-four K. Do you think that it looks like oranges, or am I simply delusional?

KOTD: Indian Tiger and 200+ Followers!!!!

Hello everyone! Today I bring you one of my favorite Konads for awhile. As I have expalined before; anything dark red and gold reminds me of India!

I used OPI Bogota Blackberry, the Konad m57 plate with China Glaze Twenty-Four K. My boyfriend really liked this one, he thought that it was so neat. I am so happy to have someone who understands my strange addiction placing chemicals on my nails in aesthetically pleasing patterns in my real day to day life. Of course I know that all of you understand too! :)

Oh, and I wanted to give a big thank you all 200+ of you; I was shocked this morning to find that I had joined the 200 follower club! I am so glad that you all like my blog, and your comments really make my day! :)
