Jumping Through Hoops

So tonight are the Closing Ceremonies, and lots of people have requested that I do Olympics nails over the course of the past few weeks, and wellllll, tonight is my last chance!! Pardon the shakiness, I just got home, I went to class from 8-1, hockey game from 130-5?, and drinking from 5-7 or so with some buddies from work. Good times. Note to self: NEVER drink Newcastle after SUPER-hoppy IPA, will taste horrible and like nasty caramel. Anyway, on to the nails.



I used Sally Hansen All the White Stuff, China Glaze Salsa for the red, Pure Ice French Kiss for the blue (and mixed with Sally Hansen All the White Stuff for the midsection of the logo body), Zoya Raven for the black, Diamond Cosmetics #319 Lemon Yellow Zest for the yellow, and Nubar Forest for the green. Topped everything off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

Congrats to all the countries on a job well done at the Olympics!! :)

Gellak come applicarlo su unghie ricostruite!

Vi avevo mostrato un pò di tempo fa il nuovo gel by Professionails GELLAK!!

Finalmente sono riuscita a sperimentarlo direttamente e vi racconto com'è e come si usa!!



Preparate l'unghia come per la ricostruzione. Applicate la tip e modellate a piacimento!





Applicate un leggero strato di primer.

Stendete Gellak in questo modo:

passate uno strato sottile e asciugate sotto la lampada. L'operazione va fatta un'unghia alla volta.

Si stendono due passate di prodotto.

Gellak si presenta come un gel abbastanza denso ma veramente molto facile da applicare! Il colore è corposo e luminoso.

Si asciuga veramente in 2 minuti e non ha bisogno di essere sgrassato dopo l'asciugatura.

Questo è l'effetto dopo una sola passata!!

E questo è il risultato dopo la seconda!

Guardate il colore lucido e luminoso. Io non ho applicato neanche il fissatore ma se volete renderlo veramente super brillante.......a voi la scelta.

Insomma questo gel mi ha proprio entusiasmata penso che presto vi farò vedere qualche altro colore della gamma perchè sono veramente uno più bello dell'altro e l'effetto sulla mano è pazzesco oltre che semplicissimo da mettere!!!

Sinful Colors Green Ocean

Hi everyone! Yesterday I promised you all this swatch so here it is in all of its glittery and flakie glory. Please ignore the ugly yellowness of my nails! The glitter in real life shows up more blue and green than in the picture. I can't wait to try to layer this over green and blue polishes! I do wish that this polish had less glitter and more flakies, and that it was a little denser. Otherwise it applies well, although the clear base dries semi-matte so you may want to use a topcoat with this. Isn't it gorgeous though, I love how pretty it is in the bottle! Are you planning on picking this one up? It won't be with the Sinfuls, it has it's own display!

KOTD: Ginger Tone-On-Tone

Hi everyone! I have recently fallen in love with the idea of tone-on-tone manicures, because they look so cool! So be prepared to see more of these in the future lol. Today I will start off with one that originally went well, but I got lumps and bedsheet marks thus the not-so-perfect finish. It turned out very cool though, it seems very 70's to me! I used OPI Ginger Bells, Sinful Colors Bronze, and the m60 plate. Have any of you ever tried tone-on-tone manicures before? I like them because they are subtle flashes of the pattern in the light.

In light of this semi-fail, I will be posting a swatch of one of the polishes I hauled, so stay tuned for that! :D

Oggi vi parlo della collezione primaverile Les Impressions di Chanel prevalentemente per il suo nuovo smalto:

505 Particulière

Questo colore sembra abbia avuto molto successo tra le ragazze in Italia...addirittura non so se e' anche già esaurito!
E' vero e' un colore bellissimo e ha un "bellissimo" costo di 22 euro...

Ma in America questi toni sono usciti lo scorso anno... e quindi potete trovare colori simili anche su altre marche e magari risparmiando un po'... che ne dite?
