Monica: I have surprised myself with DHOBI GHAT

MONICA DOGRA IN DHOBI GHAT

It is a known fact that Monica Dogra, the debutant leading lady of Aamir Khan's 'Dhobhi Ghat', has been a prominent member of the band 'Shaa'ir + Func' and has cut a few albums in the past. In fact she recently sung the stunning 'Dooriyaan' for BREAK KE BAAD as well which, unlike the film, has stayed on to be popular till date. As a follow up to that when a call for acting came in for DHOBI GHAT, the young woman couldn't help but bite the bait.

With a strong presence that her character boasts right through this film which is now ready for theatrical release in India after making the rounds of the festival circuits, one wonders if Monica ever realised the enormity of the platform when she actually began to shoot for DHOBI GHAT.

"Not really actually", Monica says in a cautions tone, "You know what, my situation in case of DHOBI GHAT was quite curious actually. I have been extremely interested in music and played with 'Shaa'ir + Func' for four years now. In many ways I am very happy with my career in music. It is art that excites me, whether it is music or acting. As long as I can get a special change in the world regardless of the capacity that I can contribute, it would be worth it."

But didn't she miss her team from 'Shaa'ir + Func' while shooting for the film? After all from being a live performer, she was suddenly getting into a more rehearsed environment?

"As I stated earlier, it is all about the different formats of art that you are a part of at any given point in time", says Monica who has cut a few albums via her band in the past, "I have always been an actor; it's just the platform that differs. It's eventually about changing people's minds and pushing things forward. I have always aspired to do great things and working really hard since I was very-very young. With my first feature film now, I have happily surprised myself. More than just being an actor in the film, I am glad that a film like this has been made."

DHOBI GHAT releases all over on 21st January.

Katrina, Imran and Ali thoroughly enjoyed eating there without the restriction of people staring at them." Guilty pleasure The actors decided to take a break after a six-hour long drive. "Kat took one look at the rich, spicy Punjabi food and decided break her diet and have some too. She enjoyed herself thoroughly, ordering daal, rotis, chicken and mutton. She normally avoids too much oily and spicy food but just couldn't resist the food when she saw it. Now, she will have some rigorous dieting and workouts to do when she reaches Chandigarh." Says Katrina, "I am not dieting. I am feasting on some delicious tadka daal and mutton."

'There is too much negativity' - Katrina Kaif

A couple of days ago it was reported that Katrina Kaif had fainted on the sets of a movie.

Though she dismisses it just as a one-off incident, she feels there are negative vibes around that affect her.

She says, “There is too much negativity around. My health suffered due to this. Constant negativity does affect a person.

”Apart from this, Katrina is also unhappy about the many rumours surrounding her personal and professional life.

Certain sections of the media have always projected her and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan.

As two warring individuals. Katrina has been signed up for a few brands which were earlier endorsed by Aishwarya.

Rumour also had it that some of the brands for which Katrina has signed on were earlier offered to Aishwarya.

She says, “Actors, who invest a lot of time and energy, will never put down each other.

Every one of us has their own space in the industry.

These stories are either publicity mechanisms or someone just writes them to create a controversy.” Coming back to her health, she insists that now she is feeling better. She says, “Health-wise there is nothing to worry about. Though I had gone through a surgery sometime ago, it was nothing serious.”

This year Katrina will be seen playing characters with varied shades in her movies - in Rajneeti she goes de-glam and in Tees Maar Khan and Dostana 2 she will be back to the song-and-dance routine in a super-glam avatar.

She says, “This is one of the most important years in my career as I’m experimenting with different kinds of roles. I can’t be one-dimensional and just look good on-screen. I have to get myself out of my comfort zone and see how audiences receive me only for my performances, not looks. That’s quite a test.”

Chetan Bhagat is hungry for publicity: Aamir Khan

Noida, Jan 1 (IANS) Actor Aamir Khan Friday said author Chetan Bhagat was ‘hungry for publicity’ and denied claims that the film ‘3 Idiots’ was 70 percent based on Bhagat’s bestseller ‘Five Point Someone’.

‘Three months earlier he (Bhagat) was saying something else and now he is saying something else as the movie is a huge hit now,’ Aamir told reporters at a press conference at Big Cinemas here.

‘While we were shooting at IIM (Indian Institute of Management) Bangalore, Chetan had come to meet us. So when I told him that I haven’t read your book, he replied that there was no need to do so as I have read the script and it is different from the book… So no need to read it,’ the actor said.

‘Now he is telling everyone that our movie is 70 percent on the book. It all shows that we are being used, you (media) are being used. This clearly shows that he is hungry for publicity,’ Aamir said.

He added that Bhagat was trying to take away credit from Abhijat Joshi, the writer of the film that has grossed over Rs.100 crore in its first four days.

‘Did you know about the writer before the movie was released?’ he asked.

‘Abhijat and Raju (director Rajkumar Hirani) have worked on this script for three years. Chetan is a big writer but Abhijat was the other guy who was working on the script. Full credit is given to him and he is not their (producers or directors) brother. But he deserved it,’ Aamir said.

‘All Chetan is trying to do right now is taking away credit from these people who deserve it. Let’s not encourage someone who is hungry for publicity,’ he added.

Directed by Hirani, ‘3 Idiots’ stars Aamir, R.Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor.

Reliance BIG Entertainment, distributor of the film, released about 2,000 prints across 40 countries.

Five years back, I was Sameer, says Shahid

All strugglers will identify with his 'Chance Pe Dance' character

Shahid Kapur says his forthcoming film "Chance Pe Dance" tells the tale of strugglers waiting for their big break. And the actor reveals he could relate to the character as he too was rejected at many auditions and even had to sleep in his car for a whole night.

"It's a very realistic film on strugglers. The story of the film flows through such a situation that any struggler can identify with whether he is struggling as an engineer, doctor or as a lawyer," Shahid told IANS.

Directed by Ken Ghosh, "Chance Pe Dance" revolves around a talented young struggling actor Sameer (Shahid). Positive and brimming with energy, Sameer juggles various jobs while working towards getting his big break in films. During his struggle, he meets Tina (Genelia D'Souza), a choreographer.

"It's a typical character of an aspiring actor. He comes from Delhi and struggles in Mumbai for three years. He stays in a house but the rent is due for a long time. (He) owns a second hand car, but doesn't have money to buy petrol.

"But having failed in almost 300 auditions, he is still a very positive guy. Every day he wakes up with a hope that something good will happen to him that day. That is the quality that makes him going," Shahid explained.

The actor says he could really identify with the character.

"Five years back, I was Sameer. I had a red Maruti 800. I also went for many auditions, which turned (out) to be futile. There are situations in the film that I have also gone through...I have actually spent a whole night in the car, as I didn't have a place to stay. In the film, there is a long chunk where it shows the guy thrown out of his house because he couldn't pay the rent (and) stays in his car," said Shahid.

Shahid's dancing skills are already well-known but he promises to surprise his fans with brand new moves thanks to American choreographer Marty Kudelka, who has worked with international pop stars like Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson and N'Sync.

"When you do a film like 'Chance Pe Dance', then dance becomes a very important part of it. As people already know that I can dance, so the challenge is how do I surprise people or give them something new," he said.

"Then Ken and I thought that probably if I try a new style of dancing, which I have never done before, it will offer something new to the audience and that's why we got in touch with Marty Kudelka," he added.

Asked if Genelia was able to cope with his dance steps, Shahid said: "Well there is not too much of dancing that Genelia and I have done together. She plays a choreographer in the film. She was very nervous initially, but finally she turned out very well."

"It was great fun working with her. I loved Genelia's work in 'Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na'. I am really happy that she came on to the film. She is a very, very good actor. I was very impressed when I saw her performance in the film."

Shahid is now excited to work in his father Pankaj Kapur's film, which would go on floors early next year.

"He is going away from what people know he is brilliant at and becoming a director because he wants to present me in a certain way. It is a huge responsibility but I am excited to get that opportunity. I really hope that I can justify the amount of time and faith he is investing in me. About the film I can only say that it's a love story," Shahid said.

The 22-year-old actress says that balancing controversies, heartbreaks and career has not been an easy ride but insists that she has learnt her lessons. She believes single women shouldn’t be allowed to marry, unless they earn enough to sustain a family.

“Women — teens, single, married, mothers — should fight ill-treatment by the opposite sex then and there, to avoid a similar experience again. In metros girls are very independent, conscious and aware. But in the interiors of our country where education is not given importance, they continue to be oppressed,” she says.

Serious talk from someone who insists she’s too young.

“Well, I’m still too young, you see,” she insists. “I’ve never said I didn’t want to be an actor. I wanted to, but knew it’s not a cakewalk. Acting is not MBBS — there are no textbooks, no written tests that you can sit for, excel in and get a degree. In the film industry, there’s no rulebook. In fact, before an exam, one knows what one has missed reading, and should have known, to get the right marks. Here, you don’t even know if you’re going wrong!”

When she became a known face, there were discussions on how ‘small town girls’ have made it big in B-town, probing her background, her home town in Himachal... “Let people say whatever they wish to. It’s a beautiful place,” she explains.

I was confident of my growth as actor: Himesh Reshammiya

Himesh Reshammiya is all smiles. His film "Radio" has fetched him some good reviews as an actor, something he has been longing for. The singer-composer-actor says he was confident of his growth as a performer and winning people's hearts.

"I had always maintained that in each of my subsequent films, there would be a growth as an actor. I knew in my heart that I would be able to win over that miniscule percentage of critics and audiences who were in doubt whether Himesh was serious about his acting career. Now, when 'Radio' is fetching me acceptance as an actor, I can confidently say that it is a new beginning for me as a performer," Himesh told IANS in an interview.

"Radio" may not boast of multi crore collections from across the country but Himesh and the makers of the film are undeterred.

"For us, the most important point was to make the film for a niche audience and release it selectively. The profits were always there due to the entire money being recovered from non-theatrical rights. This is why the additional numbers coming in from box office are satisfactory," Himesh said.

Said a trade insider: "The entire cost of 'Radio' has been recovered from music, satellite rights and video rights. All theatrical collections would be a profit."

For "Radio", Himesh had even done away with his trademark cap and got rid of his nasal twang. The movie also stars Sonal Sehgal and Shehnaz Treasurywala.

For Himesh personally, it's his rise as an actor from his debut film "Aap Ka Suroor" in 2007 that he's feeling good about.

"With 'Radio' I was looking at getting into a space different from that of 'Aap Kaa Suroor' and 'Karzzzz'. It was an intentional and well-thought out step since I wanted to work in an experimental set-up and prove myself as an actor.

"My director Ishaan Trivedi, who really helped me by arranging acting workshops for me, did tell me during the making of 'Radio' that there was an added spark to my act. But honestly, even I was pleasantly surprised when there was so much of appreciation from a number of respected critics," he added.

Though the film by itself has seen mixed reviews coming it's way, Himesh's act finds special mention. While his casual look and persona have been highlighted, his emotional bent has been evidenced too. He is now all excited to move on to his next film "Kajraare".

"The promotion for 'Kajraare' is round the corner. From a core multiplex film like 'Radio', I am moving on to an out-and-out commercial outing like 'Kajraare'. It would be great to enter into a different space now," Himesh concluded.

“I was offered New York”

Says Saif Ali Khan while in Dubai with girlfriend Kareena, to promote his latest film Kurbaan

The interviews with the media were scheduled at Park Hyatt from 2.30pm yesterday, but Saif Ali Khan and girl friend and co-star Kareena Kapoor walked in exactly one and a half hour late. Saif apologized for the delay and Kareena kept beaming her dazzling smile. And then Saif looked at the much-talked about Kurbaan poster and said, “Wow! Who’s that hot guy? Oh! That’s me.”

This bold poster is already the talk of the town. What’s Saif’s take on it? He says, “I have got so much feedback for this poster that I already feel the film is a hit.” When we asked Kareena, who was just sitting a few feet away from Saif and giving interviews, the same question, the lady admiringly looked at the giant poster standing behind her and said, “There is no doubt it is bold but then it also translates the emotional and raw intensity of the film. I think this is the only way it could have been shown.”

The look might be different but isn’t the storyline of Kurbaan strangely similar to New York? Saif said, “I had gone through the script of New York since I was offered a role in the film. I have not seen the film except for the songs and I think it has a very young storyline with college guys partying at pubs and having fun on the campus. On the contrary Kurbaan is very mature.”

Kareena adds, “The film is gritty, gripping and cutting edge. It is a love story where the woman has a very important role and audiences will keep on thinking what will happen to her?”

Fresh out of Bigg Boss 3 Sherlyn Chopra seems to have become a wiser person. She narrates her vivid experiences from the reality show in her recent blog: When I first stepped in the house of Bigg Boss, little did I know that I would be a soft target for nomination. As a person, I’m an introvert. I like to keep to myself. I know that the real me is quite contrary to my brand image. When I was nominated for the first time, I was shocked. I thought that the house inmates must have randomly picked my name without having any valid reason for my nomination. Initially, I could not relate to the female house inmates. Mostly they would talk about their families. And I had nothing to say about my family. May be because I have been living alone since I was a teenager. When I realized that I wasn’t getting positive vibes from the ladies of the house, I turned to the men. I made friends with Kamal & Vindoo because I found them incredibly hilarious. During the first two weeks, I indulged in gossip. I would make mockery of the character traits of the inmates, whom I didn’t get along well with. When I was nominated for the second time, I had an emotional breakdown, as I felt rejected and misunderstood. I had asked Poonamji to explain to me as to why the ladies in the house were judgemental toward me. She explained to me that if I mingled with them and talked to them more often, probably they would not have felt that way. Also, Poonamji said that I would have to express my love to the house inmates to be loved by all of them. After this heart-felt conversation with Poonamji, I decided to go out of my way to love the people in the house. And so, I started treating people with kindness and gentleness. I derive great pleasure from doing domestic work. Whenever I found the house dirty, I would start cleaning and sweeping the entire house - the kitchen area, the dining area, the living area, girls’ bedroom and even boys’ bedroom. The people in the house began to see changes in my behaviour and attitude. I truly hoped they would change their pre- conceived notions about me. But that didn’t happen. I was nominated again for the third time.This time, I tried to analyze harder as to where I was going wrong. I then thought that perhaps the house inmates needed some more time to understand me. I was very confident that sooner or later the house inmates would stop nominating me. But history repeated itself. I was nominated again for the fourth time. I just could not understand what was going wrong. Later, on the day of eviction I was told by all the participants that I was made a scapegoat. They said that they chose to nominate me continuously as they had no other option. It was after I met Amitji on Aakhri Salaam that I got to know the true reasons for my nomination. Most of the house inmates called me a fake person. They strongly felt that the change in my behaviour and attitude was superficial and not genuine. I could not control my tears, when I realized what a poor opinion they had of me. Now that I’m out of the house of Big Boss, I feel, I was a misfit in the house, as I didn’t want to play games with human emotions. I didn’t want to be part of conversations that break the human spirit. The experience from day one till the end of my journey was more or less like a roller coaster ride. I got to re-discover myself. And I’m glad that I connected with my inner-self. The icing on the cake was when Amitji restored peace between my mother and me. However, I feel unless my mother, my sister, and I analyze the root cause of the animosity and the differences between us, the patch up will be very superficial.

There’s just a suggestion of it now.” A portion of the sequence was voluntarily removed from the film before it was presented to the censor board. Says Neil, “Honestly, after Madhur and I shot the masturbation sequence we found we had gone too far. It was too explicit. It was just not jelling with Indian concepts of aesthetics. So we decided to knock it off quite a bit by mutual consent. We just wondered if the flow of the narration would be hampered.” That’s not only sexually explicit sequence Neil has participated in for Jail. “In one sequence I go in the night to the bath and see a boy performing oral sex on another. Their pleasure is interrupted by me, and the boy says, ‘You had to come and spoil the fun.’ While we agreed to remove dialogue the scene of oral sex remains.” Neil’s colleagues say they would gladly do a nude scene for a role. Ranbir Kapoor already has in Saawariya. But auto- eroticism is going too far. Neil explains, “My nude or masturbation scenes are not for titillation. It’s a very practical need in the script. My character is in Jail without sex for 2 and 1/2 years. What does he do? He naturally seeks pleasure by himself. In the scene that we shot my character fantasizes about his girlfriend and gets his gratification.” Comparing the moment to the dramatic poignant and memorable sequence in Alan Parker’s 1979 prison drama Midnight Express where the young prison inmate makes his girlfriend undress from across the glass partition dividing prisoners from visitors Neil sighs, “Oh my God! That was a wonderful moment. But we couldn’t show something like this in Jail. Even the love-making scene with Mugdha Godse has been so aesthetically shot. Like the love making scene between Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic. It became an out-of-the-body experience for the audience.” Even the censors’ blocking off Neil’s frontal nudity has been taken in the right spirit by the young actor. “At first I was upset. I realize I am the first Indian actor to show full frontal nudity. But the scene was that of humiliation, not titillation, like the naked parade in Bandit Queen. Even though I don’t get raped physically Jail is the first Hindi film to show the hero’s emotional rape. We’ve created all the hell inside prison. Audiences will actually see the horror behind the prison walls.”

3 Idiots not a direct lift of book

Aamir Khan starrer 3 Idiots isn’t a direct adaptation of the Chetan Bhagat Novel Five Point Someone, but has the trademark Hirani twist to it.

Chetan Bhagat’s novel Five Point Someone was about three IIT hostelmates with below average GPAs surviving in a B-school. Their marks not only affect their professional life, but family and love life as well. However, director Rajkumar Hirani who’s known best for creating the Munnabhai phenomenon has provided his own rendition to the tale of the three IITians. Hirani, when quizzed about the film being an adaptation, confirmed, “While the basic premise of the B-school and IITian culture is similar to that of the book, the film is very loosely based on the novel. The story and characters are very different, along with the humour and message that is delivered through the life of the three friends.”

A source on the sets of the film reveals, “The film is a notch above the book. Hirani has thrown light on the professional and parental pressure IITians go through in a B-school. The pressure of always being on top, strict competition and the necessity of doing everything forms the book and has been highlighted in the movie. The plight of the students and their parents will help audiences relate with the story. It’s a complete entertainer, considering Hirani’s humour can leave anybody rolling off their seat and also the message given at the end of each of his films. Aamir is the star of the film indeed, but Sharman Joshi, Madhavan and, most importantly, Boman Irani shine throughout the film. Kareena Kapoor is a breath of fresh air in the film. All characters are essaying the role of 20-25 year olds and are completely believable. 3 Idiots is a must-watch for the youth and their parents.”

Boman Irani too tagged the film as a must-watch in a recent interview and Kareena labeled 3 Idiots as the film of the year. With Aamir Khan going around town promoting the film through the youth, it is quite evident that the actors and the filmmakers feel very strongly about their forthcoming offering. Sounds like this film will be worth all those expectations, indeed!

Asin Hits Back: I don't even know Katrina

Just one film old in Bollywood, Asin Thottumkal has had more than her share of controversies. The miffed actress, who is a superstar down south, wonders why "people are targeting" her. "Please tell me why people are targeting me? I don't know why everybody is trying to give me a hard time. I am a newcomer, what have I done (in Bollywood)?" asked an exasperated Asin. "I am clueless why people are just interested in creating stories which are not true about me. I haven't figured that out," she added. "Apparently a lot of rubbish has been written about me and most of my interviews are wasted clarifying those," Asin told in a telephonic interview from Mumbai. The 23-year-old made her Bollywood debut opposite Aamir Khan in the hit psychological action thriller "Ghajini" last year and became an overnight sensation. She has, however, been caught up in a string of rumours -- a recent one being that the actress refused a role in Farah Khan's next directorial venture, "Happy New Year", opposite Shah Rukh Khan. "It was just a fabricated story. The publication retracted it in the very next issue and came out with an apology the very next day. Farah and I are friends. I am really very fond of her as she is of me. That's about it. We haven't talked about working together in a movie at all," Asin said, slamming the gossip. "It was just a figment of somebody's imagination. Farah has just started working on the script. Obviously, she hasn't reached casting stage," she added. There have been a controversy about Asin and her "London Dreams" co-star Salman Khan. The first rumour that appeared was that she was at loggerheads with Salman's girlfriend Katrina Kaif. It was reported that Katrina got upset when she heard that her beau was helping Asin find a house in Mumbai. "I don't even know Katrina, for god's sake! I have worked with Salman in one film and my relationship with him has been friendly, professional. Nothing more or less than that," she asserted. "I don't know why people link actors who work together?" Then came news that her father allegedly had a disliking for Salman. "What rubbish? They get along like a house on fire and are very buddy buddy with each other. They gang up against me and pull my leg. In fact, I am the odd one out when they are together. They are such good friends that despite his busy schedule, Salman painted a portrait of my dad, signed it and gifted it to him. That's the rapport they share. I really don't know where these stories are coming from," she said. And what about her seasoned co-stars reportedly insisting that she ask her father not to accompany her on the sets of her movies? "It's not that my father's forever hanging around on the sets. For one of the foreign schedules, he did accompany me, but that was about it. I don't know why people tend to make out this whole big hullabaloo about bringing my dad. It's completely fabricated nonsense," she said. "Poor thing, he is sitting at home, minding his own business. I don't know why he has to be dragged into controversies. It is quite annoying when somebody writes about your parents. Please leave my father out of all this. "I am the only person in the limelight. If anybody wants to write anything true or false, write about me. But don't drag my parents into it. It's really not appreciated," she said. Releasing Oct 30, "London Dreams" has been produced and directed by Vipul Shah and also stars Ajay Devgn. Asin's next project is Ashutosh Gowariker's "Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey" with Abhishek Bachchan.

Bengali actress Rituparna Sengupta rues she hasn't got enough opportunities in Bollywood to showcase her talent despite being around for four years. But the National Award winner is excited about sharing screen space with none other than Shah Rukh Khan - in an ad film. "Yes, Bollywood couldn't recognise my talent to the extent expected, " Rituparna, who forayed into the Hindi film industry with "Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh" in 2005, told on phone from Kolkata. She was then seen in box office duds like "Unns - Love...Forever", "Gauri - The Unborn" and "Sirf - Life Looks Greener on the Other Side". Rituparna believes she could have made a mark in the Hindi film industry if she had had the advantage of Bollywood lineage or contacts. "It's difficult to make a mark in Bollywood if you do not belong to a film family or have proper contacts. Talent speaks when you get proper opportunity, " said Rituparna. Her consolation is that she got a chance to share screen space with superstar Shah Rukh in an ad film for Sona Chandi Chyawanprash. She plays his wife in it. "It was an amazing experience to work with Shah Rukh. He is cordial and the kind of person who values time, " she said. Asked if she was nervous about working with the actor, she said: "I was very nervous when I got to know that I would be opposite Shah Rukh. I have a huge fan following, but personally I am a great fan of his." Rituparna shared her first National Award for Best Actress with Bengali peer Indrani Haldar for her role in Rituparno Ghosh's "Dahan" in 1998 and recently won the same for Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's Bengali film "Anuranan". Right now she is looking forward to her forthcoming Hindi movie "Paroksh". It is Anup Das' directorial debut and the filmmaker has woven a captivating story around a surrogate mother. "It's a very women-oriented film. The story is so contemporary that a woman can easily relate herself with the characters, " added Rituparna, who recently did the dialogue promotion for director David Dhawan's "Do Knot Disturb" along with actor Riteish Deshmukh. "When David Dhawan approached me for it, I happily agreed. Riteish is a nice guy and a fantastic person to work with, " she said. Asked if she had taken Hindi lessons during her initial days in Bollywood, she said: "No, I knew the language and I do my own dubbing." Rituparna has also proved her talent as a playback singer in a song featured on her in "Anuranan". "I sung it only to sync sound as my director said he would get it professionally sung later. But he liked it so much that he kept it as it is. Thus I made my debut as a playback singer, " said Rituparna. The actress has finished shooting for two more Hindi films - Ajay Varma's "S.R.K" and Faisal Saif's "Osama". She will also be seen in Priyadarshan's Hindi version of Iranian film "Children of Heaven".

I am inspired by Anil Kapoor: Katrina Kaif

"During the shooting of 'Humko Deewana Kar Gaye', Anil used to tell and teach me as to how concentration and focus are important things in an actor's career. This is one thing that I will not forget and feel that will flourish my career," Katrina said.

The actress, who has worked with several senior and experienced actors like Akshay Kumar, Govinda and Salman Khan, feels blessed to have such talented co-stars from whom she has learnt a lot.

"The more films you do you get more experience and then you get to know what you want to do as an actor, what different and special thing a role or a script you are looking for," she said.

Katrina who plays the lead role in 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani', a romantic-comedy, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, said, "I was kind of chilled out and had fun while shooting with Ranbir. He is a good co-star who is passionate about his work and does not have ego."

'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' features Ranbir, Katrina and Upen Patel in lead roles with Salman Khan in a special appearance. The movie is produced by Ramesh S Taurani and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

Talking about the film, Katrina said, "It is a romantic-comedy movie. Though hundreds of movies have been made on love but this is unsual, it is unique, wacky and stylish."

The film is a romantic story of two youngsters, Prem and Jennifer, played by Ranbir and Katrina. It is a love drama packed in fun and joy. The movie will hit the silver screen on November 6
