My Space Nails

I've been meaning to do these nails for a while. SPACE NAILS and credits go to Asami's Space Nail tutorial. I hope you enjoy, they don't look much like space to me (compared to Asami's) but it reminds me more of a nebulous cloud in space, maybe because I sponged too much =P

Materials I used:
OPI Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees Suede (since I didn't have ManGlaze Matte is Murder or Zoya Dovima)
OPI DS Original (for the holo part)
Misa No Shrinking Violetta (for the sheer duochrome part)
Pa Nail Color A125 (for the stars)

I got a compliment today when I wore them out for the first day. :)
Hope you like them as much as I do!~
happy polishing
and don't forget to enter into my CSN giveaway (ends March 12) and my 300 follower giveaway (March 26)! Just to clarify, the picture is from google and it is not the actual polishes that I will be giving away :P

Unnamed Franken

Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well ~ :) I'm doing alright, just trying to work a ton! Anyways, as of now, I'm facing a dilemma on this blog... feeling uninspired and 'ehhh' about it. Hope it goes away, but maybe I'll take a break from blogging and sometimes I'll be back with some posts.

Anyways, I made this franken about last week or so, still unnamed, maybe list a suggestion of names down? :P I actually really love this franken! I'm showing it with 2 coats and 2 coats of top coat.

Remember Prevail See You in Chelsea? Well, the polish wasn't that good because it was so sheer and it was just lying around on my desk, so I decided to use it to franken! :)

Here's what I used:
Prevail See You in Chelsea
Forever21 Love & Beauty Navy
Quirius Glittering Rainbow

Hope you like it and happy polishing!

Mermaid Attempt

Hey everyone! :) I hope you all are doing well~ Today I'm going to show you a swatch, that you've probably seen before but it's new to my collection, so I hope you enjoy. I also attempted to do a nail art, which is part of my resolution, to be more creative and experimental with nail art, so I hope you'll like it. The nail art wasn't anything planned, it just came to me as I did the swatch. I actually like it although it doesn't exactly reach what I was thinking of.

Today's SOTD is OPI Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow Suede. It's a beautiful medium forest green shimmer. It's beautiful and opaque in 2 coats. The swatch shows both without and with top coat. I think it's absolutely beautiful and I don't know why I haven't gotten HTATS sooner :P! Formula and application was smooth and easy as well.

The NAOTD is Mermaid Scales :P I used 2 coats of OPI Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow Suede, drew scales with KISS Nail Art in Pearl Black then filled in the spaces with China Glaze Fairy Dust to add a more 'mystical' look to the scales :P In my opinion, I think I did a pretty good job. Hope you think so too!

Anyways, hope you enjoyed & happy polishing!

Sparkling Coconut Kiss

My last post for today will be a layer post of 2 new polishes that I haven't shown in my blog. First is, China Glaze Coconut Kiss. It's a shimmery frosty purple that's sooo beautiful! It's my favorite purple now :) To reach bottle opacity, it took 2 coats of Coconut Kiss. I used top coat on my pinky and index finger and it seems that top coat makes it less shiny and frosty! :(

And for the layering, I layered 1 coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust over Coconut Kiss. Totally beautiful and so sparkly that my camera can't capture it and it looks blurry haha.

hope you enjoyed,
happy polishing
& happy early new year! :)

Blingish Mani.

In my previous mani, I didn't want to overload with pictures. So after a day of wearing it, I wanted to add something to it, more specifically, a crown, you know.. McQueen, yep. So on my right hand I put rhinestones in a shape of a 'crown' but the funny thing is that when you look at the nails regularly and not sideways, it looks like the letter E. :P And on my left hand I made a bow with pink rhinestones and a larger clear rhinestone.

hope you enjoyed & happy holidays (again)! :)

All Hail McQueen

Today's post is a recent mani. that I've been wearing for the past few days just because I couldn't resist. I originally found it at Ricky's but then I felt like it was too expensive so I didn't get it. And then when I wanted it, it wasn't there until a few days ago when I found it in the store again. I quickly bought it and I'm so glad I got it because I love it! I'm also wearing the heart ring I got from Amanda (from Fiercely Fresh Fingertips) :P♥

So here is Butter London All Hail McQueen. It's a light brown with a warm subtle holographic. I love it! It looks like a conservative color but when the light hits it, BAMM BEAUTIFUL. I used 3 coats for this because I wanted full coverage, but you could probably get away with 2. I'm seriously thinking about getting a back up bottle, or maybe for my giveaway *hint hint* LOL it's not decided yet.

hope you enjoyed, happy holidays and happy polishing!

Extravagance

November 8, 2010

Another post in one day because I just added a new layout and I wanted to also create another new post to go along with it, just because. :) Everyone has been raving about OPI DS Extravagance. I got my hands on it as an extra in a swap which totally made my day!

DS Extravagance is a berry/fuchsia-mauve holographic polish. The manicure is 2 swatches and 1 coat of top coat. :) When the polish hits the light, it comes out with an orange aura. :P Totally hot! I love the formula and application also.

The next two pictures are taken at my train station. Sooo beautiful!
hope you enjoyed,

Another Winner & Mani.

Since Sue didn't respond to me within 48 hours (I gave an extra day), I picked another winner randomly. The new winner is joanne.j ! Congratuations and thank you so much for your input on your entry into the giveaway! I will definitely try to post more pedicures although I don't like my feet at all x___x; maybe I'll crop them out. Anyways Joanne, I hope you get back to me within 48 hours or I'll have to pick another winner.

And as an extra, here's one of my new favorite plain but beautiful mani.

The manicure below is OPI Reserve from their Designer Series. It's a beautiful pink mauve which holographic shine. The holographic isn't very noticeable, but you can see most of it in the light. For the mani., I used 2 coats of Reserve and 1 coat of Seche top coat. I love this color! It's such a 'reserved' or conservative color with a twist, a holographic twist that makes it conventional and non-conventional at the same time! Totally awesome! And if you noticed the ring, I picked that up at H&M because when I saw it, I knew I had to have it! ^_______^; They had it in gold too but I'm not that fond of gold jewelry, lol.

Hope you enjoyed,
<3katherine
