Nail Art: Metallic French

Hey everyone! Today I decided that I really wanted to play with metallics, so I did a metallic french mani. It looks ok, I didn't like it enough to keep it on for more than half an hour last night (thus the crappy indoor pic). I exaggerated the tips a little bit; I think that it makes my nails look a lot longer!

I used China Glaze Twenty-Four K, Sinful Colors Bronze (LOVE this polish!) and Art Deco Silver. Have any of you ever done a finish-themed mani before?

And might I say Holy Cow Pies to the snow that is currently dumping buckets here! I heard on the news that it was freezing rain outside that could turn into snow. I looked outside of my window at 6:40 am to see rain, so I grabbed my rain jacket and put it on. I looked back up out of the window and it was snowing heavily, that is how fast the snow came. Although we are very used to snow here in Northern Utah, it has been a rather dry winter. Not anymore. Mother Nature is makeing up for it now. As much as I hate snow, it was so pretty! The snow is so fluffy that it all clumps togther as it comes down, creating huge snowflakes/clumps, it is really cool! I can't take pics because it is still very dark outside, but I am going to try to take some this afternoon and post them if you all would like that!

Mattified Sinful Colors! Post #2

Here is the next installment of finishing up my Mattified! series; my three darkest Sinful Colors polishes. These are Bronze, Fiji, and Burgundy Apple. Sorry about the white bits on the nails, they are the dried up bit from around the bottleneck of the essie matte topcoat I used to matte these.

Bronze - I love this one matted, it gives the polish new dimension and depth!

Fiji - I love this one matte because it brings out the purple/violet tones in the polish (look how well it photographed for a purple!)

Burgundy Apple - I like this one matte; but I think that I like it much better glossy!

What do you all think? Below is the glossy picture for comparison!

KOTD: Indian Lace

Heya everyone! I have been on somewhat of a french tip kick, so I decided to try it with a Konad design again. I don't know, whenever I think of dark red and gold or bronze, I think of India. I have never been there but I have always found the culture to be fascinating!

I used OPI Bogota Blackberry as the base color, the m57 plate, and Sinful Colors Bronze as the stamping color. This color works really well for stamping because it is metallic and very opaque. This isn't my favorite mani ever, but I do like it. I think that I can improve on the theme!

Nail Art: Simple Dots

Here is my first attempt at nail art, it is really just some dots in a diagonal line, nothing special. It was fun to try though, and it is actually a bit harder than it looks! I used the Loew-Cornell brush from my previous post to make these dots; I think that it did a good job! I just suck at it hahaha! I used two Sinful Colors nail polishes, the base is Burgundy Apple and the dots are Bronze. My basecoat was OPI Nail Envy and my topcoat was Sally Hansen: Hard as Nails. Enjoy!

Sinful Colors: Bronze

Today my nails are painted in Sinful Colors Bronze nail polish as you can see in the picture to the left. This color is an orange-toned bronze. It applies opaque in two coats and holds up well in terms of chipping, and that is saying something considering that I wash dishes and pull weeds all day! I like the Sinful Colors nail polishes because the formula is really good for the price, they run for about $2 and I get mine at Walgreens. 15 ml comes in the bottle and I love how big of a color range they have, they have everything from nudes to glitters! I can't rave enough about this line! This was actually the first nail polish that I ever bought, I bought it for halloween and I thought that I would just use it for that but I love the color!
