Styling Session with Hanneli

I just saw this video with Hanneli Mustaparta and her H&M styling session where she uses items from their Spring/Summer 2011 collection. It is no secret that I am a huge fan of Hanneli and her styling, and she does definitely not disappoint in this video. Altogether she styles four different looks, ranging from grunge to festival to 70s to cute. I find them all so great, so I can not decide which look I like the most. I love the layering of the grunge outfit, but I also have a very weak spot for that 70s inspired jumpsuit.

Which look is your favourite?

Elin Kling for H&M

Fashion blogger and stylist is the next in line who has designed pieces for H&M. I remember I heard some rumours about this some months back, and I thought how great it would be if it was actually true. And so it is! The line consists of 11 pieces (9 fashion pieces and 2 accessories) and will be in Swedish H&M stores the 3rd of February. Lucky Swedes!

Elin herself has stated that "The collection is minimalistic and raw, but with bohemian elements, something that reflects my personal style well." H&M describes it as "a strong and clear collection, where silhouette and materials are more important than decoration. The details are well considered and discrete, such as the un-even hem on the washed leather jacket, the hidden chain at the neckline on one of the dresses, and the raw edge on the wide pants. The balance between the hard, tough and sculptural, and the soft, draped and feminine suits both H&M and Elin perfectly."

What do you think about this collaboration?

Lanvin Hearts H&M

On Monday, the blogosphere went crazy over the first sneak peak from the collection Lanvin is doing for H&M. I really like the looks that were shown - there's something so classic and elegant about dark, sharp silhouettes. Now a new photo has been released - showing more colour and flowers this time. The dress that Natasha Poly is wearing is gorgeous.

What do think about the Lanvin for H&M collection so far? Will you be queueing in the lines?

Glee Season 2 Fashion Style

Before the second season of Glee hit the TV this week, let's have a sneak peak on the cast's fashion styles. According to Glee's costume designer Lou Eyrich, each character has nine to eleven costume changes per episode.

For Glee Season 2, Rachel Berry will change her girly skirts to lady-like dresses. Tina will be sporting a modern Victorian look, while Kurt will have a more high-fashion clothing. The outfits of the cast were from H&M, Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters.

Check some of the photos from the Glee Season 2 set to have a glimpse of the cast's fashion styles:

Glam Summer 2010 Fashion Trends H&M

I love summer! Even though the climate is hot, it somehow brings out the fresh vibe in each of us. I always thought of summer in splash of yellows, pinks, and greens. However, I realized that summer is not just about the beach and fun under the sun. Summer is also about poolside glamor. Let's say thanks to H&M for giving us glamorous fashion tips for the season. H&M Summer 2010 Magazine features the some of the summer fashion trends like cutaway swimsuits, animal print kaftans, gold jewlery and sheer black dress.

H&M Garden Collection: More Floral!

What's up with floral? First Liberty of London for Target, and now this. The fashion industry apparently wants you to dress up like Easter this spring. Are you having it? If so, skip on over to H&M, where their eco-friendly Garden Collection launched on Friday and is reportedly going fast. The collection is dominated by feminine tops and flowy floral dresses and is made with materials including organic cotton and recycled polyester (hey, if it's gotta be polyester, recycled is the way to go). Here are the pieces I will might did venture out in the rain today to check out:

My favorite piece by a country mile is this psychedelic watercolor skirt, $29.99. UPDATE: Purchased! The colors are not nearly as bright as they appear in this picture; in fact, I'd say they about doubled the saturation on this image. But the cut is still really flattering, even with those pockets.

These sweet floral ballet flats, $14.95, are a close second. Methinks a little bit of floral goes a long way. UPDATE: Uh, not great quality. Unpurchased.

That said, I do like this pretty floral dress, $19.95, but it looks like it has a tie in exactly the wrong place for anyone with boobs (click to enlarge).

And I also love the double pattern on this dress, $17.95 (!). It might be too little-girl for me, but I like it anyway. Toughened up with a leather or denim jacket, it might just work. UPDATE: Purchased! With the sash circled in front before being tied in the back, you can even give yourself a waist. Done and done.

Finally, there's a lot of volume on this pretty top, $24.95, but I bet it would look great with skinny jeans.

From H&M magazine's spring issue. I couldn't believe it at first. All these pieces are added to my "must have" list for spring.
